Singer Coming to U of G to Discuss Election, Arts Funding

Canadian singer-songwriter Hawksley Workman will visit the University of Guelph Thursday to talk to students about the importance of voting in the Oct. 14 federal election.

He will take part in a special town hall discussion from 4 to 6 p.m. in the University Centre. Topics will include the upcoming election, student engagement, post-secondary education and federal funding for the arts.

Workman will be joined by Guelph-based Canadian songwriter James Gordon, U of G students and members of the University and Guelph community. The discussion will be broadcast live on CFRU 93.3 FM.
